The regular meeting of the Sourdough Fire District Board of Trustees was called to order by Chair, Dave Kraft at 7:55 on February 19, 2001. All trustees were present as was Chief Crandell. The Minutes of the January 15, 2001 meeting were presented. Kraft moved and Dayhuff seconded; minutes were approved.

The financial report to 2/19/01 was presented by Treasurer Geddes. Five warrants greater than $300 were presented for dual signature. The warrants and financial report was moved for approval by Geddes, and seconded by Bachman and approved and is contained in the record. Pete will ask bookkeeper, Scott Mueller to attend the March meeting to report on the detailed financial condition of the district.

The Chief's report through 2/19/01 was presented and is included in the
record. Of note is the tabulation of in-station staffing, for the past 31 day period which indicates 1704 firefighter hour in-station for an 81% availability for immediate response by 2 or more personnel.

The district assessment and mil-levy election informational newsletter is
ready for production and distribution to every district property owner. The
mail ballots will go out from the Clerk's Office on March 14, 2001.

Kandy Rose, Sourdough Support Group, has been working hard to advocate passage for the mill levy. There are plans for an advocacy newsletter following up on the SFD information piece.

The Trustees and three members of the public, Kandy Rose, Jim Carmody and Bud Chapman held a productive conversation on the assessment, mill levy and election. The question of voter eligibility was discussed. Bachman will contact the County Election office for clarification.

The meeting was adjourned at 9:20 PM.
